I absolutely love the results I have been having from upping my avo intake.
It wasn’t deliberate, I just went through a faze of eating it with everything. Then I noticed a significant impact on my skin. I wondered if it was just a coincidence so I stopped eating them for a few weeks. Sure enough my skin went red, and flaky again. Then, I did some of my own research to see if it was common thing for skin to improve by eating more avo’s and sure enough, it was! Here’s what I found out:
- Avocados and avocado oil contain ingredients that fight inflammation and help protect your skin against free radicals, which harm skin cells. Biotin, is an essential B complex vitamin. Without it, you can get flaky, red, sensitive skin. Avocado also helps protect skin from ultraviolet light, which decreases vitamin C levels, another essential vitamins. They also increase elasticity and decrease the symptoms of skin sensitivity.
- These amazing natural oils create a supple healthy glow and overall even skin tone, plus they taste amazing! You can also turn them into a face mask! A little can go a long way. Just mash a large tablespoon up and rub it all over your face right after a hot shower. Leave it for 15 minutes and wipe off. Moisture or apply your regular face oil or moisturiser.
Avocados totally helped when applying makeup too. instead of my skin having red, flaky areas, my skin had a healthy, very slightly oily glow (a nice glow!) and my red, semi blotchy cheeks were a little more even! My angry red areas went away, and the overall application, feel and look after is literally so much better. Also, I did notice less hormonal acne like small cysts on my jawline. They get quite big and painful and last for up to a month.
I began eating avocados again about a week ago and the results are showing already, It feels nice to look in the mirror again! Definitely give this a go if you’re having trouble keeping your skin under control!
